As a field service technician it's important every time during troubleshooting to start with the basics it took me time to discover the problem on the cat C12 engine experiencing under power when under load / missing firing No error , checked Air induction system , fuel filters replaced, injector cut out done, checked and tested engine wiring harness Not until I tested the fuel system pressure and observed pressure fluctuating during load which was caused by a broken safety valve spring on the fuel feed pump hence. It's always important to start with the basics

Tasks becomes more strenuous and tiring when the necessary tools fitting for the job is not available. Without the right tools, efforts, strength, expertise and even the best of techniques would struggle to deliver exceptional experience. No matter how savvy a process technician is, it is impossible to deploy the usage of an hammer to a task best fit for a spanner. It can only result to downtime and low productivity. Conversely, applying the right tools to execute a task does not only excuse you from the seemingly difficult challenge and safety risks but also make task execution relatively easier and enjoyable with no cause for downtime. By this reminder, I want to reiterate the importance of applying right tools to execute task, so as to remain happy, safe and motivated while discharging your duty. Reach out to your supervisors and or uplines for help or clarity on allocation of the right tools.
