Moving Ahead shares that 87% of mentors and mentees feel empowered by their mentoring relationships and develop increased confidence through mentorship. It goes without saying that for many of us in reentry, confidence can often run low as we tackle hurdle after hurdle breaking into career pathways and educational pursuits. In the midst of this discouragement, the empathy, creativity, and support of a committed mentor can change feelings of helplessness to fuel for empowerment.
