Trust is the foundation of every great team. Without it, your team is just a group of individuals chasing their own goals. But here's the thing... Trust isn’t built overnight. It’s earned with every action, every conversation, and every decision you make. If you want your team to give their best, they need to trust you first. So, how do you build it? 1. Show vulnerability → Admit when you don’t have all the answers. Your honesty will encourage others to share openly. 2. Deliver on your promises → Small or big, keep your word. Consistency is what breeds trust. 3. Listen more than you speak → Your team wants to be heard. Make sure you’re paying attention. 4. Celebrate the wins, big and small → Recognition builds confidence. And confidence builds trust. Remember this: Trust is a two-way street. You can’t expect your team to trust you if you don’t trust them first. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being real, being present, and showing up every day. Trust takes time. But once you have it, your team will move mountains with you. P.S. What’s one way you build trust with your team? Let’s discuss! 💬

When building and keeping trust in a team, you can think of it in three main levels: Foundational Trust: This is the basic level where you trust that everyone will do their job and keep their promises. Established Trust: At this level, you trust that everyone has the team’s best interests in mind and will act with honesty and integrity. Vulnerable Trust: This is the deepest level where you feel comfortable relying on each other for both support and guidance, knowing that everyone genuinely cares and helps out. These levels help in creating a strong, supportive team environment.

Your approach to trust is holding your team back. 🔍 We’ve discovered that the traditional approach to trust—believing it simply takes time—is fundamentally flawed. Waiting for trust to develop doesn’t activate the team dynamic you need to deliver on expectations. ✨ Trust isn't something you earn over time; it's something you create intentionally. By demonstrating credibility, listening deeply, and adapting our styles to others, we build a foundation of trust that enhances our collaborative approach. Especially in high-risk situations, it's crucial to show even more credibility and intimacy to maintain strong, trusting relationships. 🚀 Curious how you can become a trust creator in your organization? Want to build stronger relationships? Start by listening more. In any relationship, it’s crucial to listen with empathy. By listening with empathy, I’ve built long-term partnerships and earned trust. I was able to cultivate team dynamics that are based on mutual respect. We’ve formed strong client-turned-friend relationships with the same core values. This approach is not a performative way of solving problems. It’s making people feel heard and valued. Empathy is the foundation of every strong relationship. It builds trust, and trust opens doors to lasting connections.
