Tequila 52 Cristalino embodies the essence of Mexico, its spirit captured in every sip. But this liquid masterpiece takes a remarkable journey before gracing your glass. The story begins in Mexico, where rows of blue agave – the heart of tequila – bask under the warm sun. Tequila 52 sources only the finest mature agave, harvested by hand using the traditional "jima" method. Experienced jimadors, armed with their unique tools, carefully extract the piña, the heart of the agave plant, ensuring the purest quality. The piñas are then expertly slow-cooked in brick ovens, unlocking their natural sweetness. The resulting agave nectar undergoes fermentation, where natural yeast transforms the sugars into a low-alcohol liquid. Tequila 52 Cristalino utilizes a meticulous double distillation process. The first distillation produces a raw tequila, while the second hones its smoothness and character. This dedication to quality results in a spirit bursting with agave flavor, free of harsh impurities. Here's where Tequila 52 Cristalino takes a unique turn. Through a proprietary filtration process, the spirit undergoes a charcoal filtering stage. This meticulous process removes color molecules, resulting in the crystal-clear liquid you see in the bottle. Tequila 52 Cristalino is a testament to both tradition and innovation. Each sip is a journey – from the sun-drenched agave fields to the artistry of distillation, culminating in a crystal-clear expression of pure agave tequila. Experience the magic of 52 for yourself. #tequila52 #thoseintheknowknow #52 #casacincodos #cristalino #makingoftequila52 #whatiscristalino #typesoftequila #tequila #sippingtequila

👇🏻 Here’s what you should know about tequila shot There's a dance-like ritual to the tequila shot. A sprinkle of salt on the back of the hand, a slice of lemon clenched between the fingers, and a fiery shot of tequila at the ready. But how did this ritual come about, and what's the true tradition behind it? The salt and lemon ritual is not as ancient as tequila itself. In fact, many traditionalists in Mexico forgo the salt and lemon altogether, preferring to savor the pure taste of tequila. So, where did this ritual originate? Some say it's purely a commercial tactic to make lower-quality tequilas palatable, while others believe it's an age-old method to enhance the spirit's flavor and smoothness. The salt is believed to dull the burn, and the lemon's tanginess contrasts and balances the robustness of the tequila. At the end of the day, how you enjoy tequila boils down to personal preference. Whether you're a salt-and-lemon aficionado or a tequila purist, the spirit's rich history and vibrant flavors promise an experience like no other. How do you prefer to take your tequila shot ? Our latest musings explore the significant challenges facing the rum category, particularly in comparison to tequila. Tequila benefits from a clear structure with classifications like Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo, making it more accessible to consumers. In contrast, rum lacks these categories, leading to confusion and limited exploration. While tequila is tied to a specific region in Mexico, rum’s production spans numerous countries and methods, creating a complex landscape. Additionally, the perception of rum as merely a sugarcane-based spirit for tropical cocktails holds it back. With the trend toward low-carb options, many consumers overlook its diverse flavor profiles. Today is National Rosa Tequila Day (US) What makes Rosa Tequila different is that it is aged in red wine barrels, giving it a beautiful pink hue. Tequila’s precursor, a milky, frothy agave drink known as pulque, dates all the way back to Mesoamerican times circa 1000 B.C., when indigenous Mexican tribes would commonly harvest and ferment it. The Spanish invade Mexico and begin cooking agave in distilling pots, calling it 'mezcal wine.' It wouldn’t be until 16th Century A.D., however, that the contemporary tequila we know and love would be first produced, around a territory of land that wouldn’t officially become known as Tequila until 1666. That wouldn’t stop Spanish aristocrat Don Pedro Sánchez de Tagle from opening the world’s first tequila factory 66 years prior in Jalisco, the Mexican state where the modern city of Tequila is located. It definitely wouldn’t stop Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo from founding the first Vino Mezcal de Tequila de Jose Cuervo in Tequila over a century later in 1795, birthing the world’s most successful tequila brand to this day. Interesting information provided by agave spectator. A little hiccup in tequila production and volume for 2023, but this is what stood out to me....... https://lnkd.in/evybRFNw #2 SPIRIT IN THE US Tequila Revenues Grew by 8% as the #2 Spirit in the US. Tequila Breaches The 30 Million 9L Case Level, Edges Out American Whiskey. Record setting 2023 US Tequila consumption grew over 5% by volume to exceed 30 million 9L cases for the first time ever, narrowly overtaking American Whiskey as the #2 Spirit consumed in the USA by volume. Revenues from US Tequila increased 8% to record levels in 2023, gaining additional market share over American Whiskey, and narrowing the gap with US Vodka which continues to lead US spirit consumption in volume and revenue. Vodka, however, has suffered two consecutive years of revenue and volume declines, which at these current trends could allow Tequila to further narrow the gap with Vodka’s US revenues in 2024. So tequila (& most agave based spirits) are here to stay and are a growing force. They are not a one-off or just for celebrations or for the summer. If you want to create an agave based RTD, a private label tequila brand, or bulk tequila or to just start a tequila investment fund (this is a growing trend!) DM us today. 🍸 World Tequila Day 🍸 An emblematic Mexican spirit, tequila has earned worldwide success. Tequila traces its origins back to pre-Columbian times in Mexico. Indigenous peoples, including the Aztecs, made a fermented agave-based drink called "pulque". However, it was in the 16th century that the Spanish colonists introduced distillation, which is essential for producing tequila as we know it today. There are 4 main types of tequila: 1. Tequila Blanco (or Plata) : unaged, often bottled shortly after distillation. 2. Tequila Reposado: aged in oak barrels for two months to a year. 3. Tequila Añejo: aged in oak barrels for one to three years. 4 . Tequila Extra Añejo : undoubtedly the most complex, it is aged in oak barrels for over three years. Let’s celebrate #WorldTequilaDay together! 🎉 “The abuse of alcohol is dangerous for your health, please drink responsibly.” #Saverglass #Glassmaker #Tequila #WorldTequilaDay
