Here are some ways to be respectful of mental health when trick-or-treating: Avoid scary costumes: Costumes that portray people with mental health problems in a harmful way, such as "mental patient" costumes, can be upsetting. Be mindful of others' feelings: Halloween can be scary for some children, so avoid wearing scary masks or costumes, jumping out, and scaring trick-or-treaters. Be aware of stereotypes: The general expectation is to treat everyone with respect and equitably. #mentalhealthmatters #healthandwellness #mentalhealthawareness #thementalhealthguy
