Congress heard the #military family's concern of delayed reporting of child abuse within Child Development Centers. The 2025 Defense Bill includes a law to improve reporting and access to the #DoD Child Abuse Hotline. All Child Development Centers are now required to: (A) posting it [Child Abuse Hotline] in public areas of military child development centers; and (B) providing it to the parents and legal guardians of children who attend military child development centers Our children with exceptional needs are at high risk of child abuse and fast, early, and anonymous report is crucial to protect our most vulnerable members of the military community.
