It's vital to remember that the environment belongs to all living beings, not just humans who often exploit it for their own needs. Taking care of the environment starts with selflessness. In the past, true wealth was reflected in planting fruit trees, building ponds & water wells, and creating water reservoirs (stepwells/bawri) & water dispensers (pyaoo) for the community. This approach supported various ecosystems and species. Today, the focus has shifted towards maximizing profits, leading to the exploitation of resources and the neglect of environmental sustainability. People are cutting their guava trees because their neighbour’s kids are enjoying the fruits along with some monkeys and birds. Sustainability requires inclusive thinking where every life is valued equally. By prioritizing the well-being of all species, we can create a better environment for everyone. At Fortitude, we understand the critical importance of safeguarding our planet's precious ecosystems and strive to make a positive difference in every aspect of our operations. For this reason, in addition to a daily commitment in reducing waste and resource consumption, implementing sustainable practices in our daily working life, a few years ago we created the Fortitude Forest with Treedom. This initiative has seen the planting of over 350 trees to date, serving as a tangible symbol of our commitment to reforestation efforts.
