Warming temperatures and rising sea levels threaten places, species and people across the planet, making climate change a reality we cannot afford to ignore. The efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change must be collaborative, wherein governments, cities, businesses, investors and other stakeholders have an important role to play and contribute towards the larger picture in order for our actions to be effective and practical. The 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly known as COP29 Azerbaijan, is the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference. COP29 is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11 to 22 November 2024. Our  MD & Chief Knowledge Officer of STEER, Dr Babu Padmanabhan, will be presenting the Global Innovation Project “Resilient Earth Settlement for Tomorrow” during the session “Showcasing UGIH Global Innovation Projects” to be held on Saturday, 16th November, from 12:00 to 12:45 at the WGEO pavilion located in the Blue Zone. Governments assess global efforts to advance the Paris Agreement and the Convention, also limit global warming to 1.5°C as informed by the latest science.
