In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Ulf-Daniel Ehlers will introduce the concept of entrepreneurship skills in Europe and how entrepreneurship education can be implemented through micro-credentials at European universities. Prof. Dr. Robert Lepenies will present the findings and lessons learned from our two-year ENTREHUBS project, which aimed to enhance entrepreneurship education in European universities, particularly in departments outside of traditional business and economics faculties. 💡new publication 🚨 I am pleased to share our latest article “University entrepreneurship: entrepreneurial orientation, networks, market orientation, and sustainable development”, coauthored with Ana Pacheco, João Ferreira, Jorge Simões, and Pedro Veiga, published #openaccess in Management Decision (ANVUR A, ABS 2, IF 4.10) 🚀 Our latest study explores the role of universities’ entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and how factors like networks, knowledge, trust, market orientation, and sustainable development goals (SDGs) shape the growth of entrepreneurial universities. Using a structural equation model on data from 125 Portuguese higher education institutions, we found that EO significantly impacts entrepreneurial development. Additionally, market orientation and SDGs serve as key moderators, enhancing universities’ potential to foster entrepreneurship. 18 George Mason University programs are ranked as the best in Virginia in a new report by EduRank that focuses on performance in research. Topping the list is Mason’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, which for the second consecutive year was ranked No. 1 among all public institutions and No. 2 among all institutions nationally. That research is supported by entities such as the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Impact, which has overall responsibility for Mason’s research enterprise and support of entrepreneurship and innovation. And, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship - George Mason at the George Mason University – Costello College of Business lets students dig into entrepreneurship, from the theoretical to the experimental. Record Attendance at #uni_lu Entrepreneurship Summer School We are thrilled to announce the success of our 5th International Summer School on Knowledge-Driven Innovation and Entrepreneurship, hosted by the University of Luxembourg Incubator and Entrepreneurship Programme. This year's event saw a record turnout with 49 aspiring entrepreneurs from across the globe, under the expert mentorship of Prof. Ted Zoller. 🌍 Diverse and Inclusive Collaboration Participants included PhD candidates and researchers from various international institutions, creating a vibrant, collaborative environment. The EIT HEI Initiative 4th call for proposal closed 8 days ago, and application numbers beat any expectations: ➡️130 applications received... ➡️...from 1,480 organisations... ➡️ of which, 677 higher education institutes and 475 businesses. Started in 2021, the Initiative will continue to: ✅Enable innovative governance in universities ✅Bring universities, industry, and other key stakeholders closer together ✅Enhance innovation & entrepreneurial capacity of universities and their students ✅Support the creation and development of start-ups.
