In 5 days' time, we'd have made it to the 3rd month of Q2. Meaning that the first half of the year is almost gone! Now, one thing I'm not here to do is to motivate you. Besides, motivation is nothing without consistent action. What I am here to do is to remind you of the importance of retrospection. Career-wise retrospection. Recently, I've taken a career-wise retrospection, and from having discussions with a few industry leaders, I've been able to gain clarity as to the direction I'd like to drive my career. The process is very refreshing. Believe me. Now, what about you? If at any time, you feel that the way your career is going isn't one you like, it's okay to do a retrospection. It's okay to reach out to the 'older' people in your field for guidance. Yes, sometimes they may be late in responding to DMs. They just haven't made out the time yet; they're humans too. But also understand that no one is 'supposed' to guide you. Remember to be courteous, respectful and conscious of the fact that they'd be slicing out their time for you. . Without his gentle nudge and constant encouragement, I might never have discovered this exciting and fulfilling career. He not only introduced me to new opportunities but also stood by me during the inevitable challenges, reminding me to stay focused and push through. To my mentors, your guidance has been invaluable.
