Altura’s CEO, Pete Fronte, MBA, shares an important message on cancer screening: Early detection can make all the difference in long-term survival, which means more time with your loved ones and for fulfilling your dreams. As we enter the new year, consider scheduling any needed screening, as timing matters.

Hello, my name is Pete Ferrante and I'm the CEO at Altura and also part of the CEOs Against Cancer in Orange County, California. I would like to share a message that I'm passionate about. Most, if not all of us have been touched by friends or family that have battled or are battling cancer. What we learn from these situations is that time is very important. The sooner we screen for cancer the better, whether it's breast, colorectal, cervical or any other cancer screening that your doctor has recommended. As an example, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death, but it is the most treatable form of cancer with A5 year survival rate of 90%. If it's found early, however, when colorectal cancer is found late stage, the survival rate drops to 14%. Unfortunately, only 37% of cases are detected early. Keep in mind that there are simple at home colorectal cancer tests that your doctor can order, so please consider scheduling any needed cancer screening as soon as possible as sometimes waiting weeks or months is too late. And please share this or a similar message with your friends and family. Thank you.
