Early and unintended pregnancies have a direct impact on the future of girls and young women, as especially in South Sudan, maternity often implies dropping out of the educational system. The fight against child pregnancies is complex and multifaceted as it is the result of various contextual factors. However, we are convinced that tailored sex education and the provision of contraceptives helps to diminish the number of unintended pregnancies significantly. Now is the time to ensure that every girl lives a life free from stigma with unhindered access to quality comprehensive sexuality education, to sexual and reproductive health rights and services and with meaningful opportunities to lead a productive life.

We commend the government and the Supreme Court of Mexico for prioritizing sexual health education for its youth by recognizing it as a fundamental right and providing sex education and access to contraception in schools. We hope that more governments practice this. Let us know what initiatives your government has taken to promote sexual health education and reproductive rights. #condoms #sexualhealth #condom #sex #mexico #condomnews

What do we want? Great Relationships and Sex Education Great sexual and reproductive health Great health and wellbeing for all our young people When do we want it? Now! Here are our asks for a new Government. TL;DR Day one: - a moratorium on investigations and prosecutions of people ending their own pregnancy under an archaic 1861 law. - to actively seek out the voices of young people to inform revised RSHE guidance - commit to a cross departmental young people’s health strategy Read on for our ambitious programme for year one of government... https://lnkd.in/efkGATNM

Do you know why most people shy from seeking sexual reproductive health care and services? Or freely expressing their sexual reproductive desires? The stigma, Judgement and criminalization that comes with it. 1. A woman cannot seek abortion services without getting 'the talk' on killing because why would she have unprotected sex if she did not want children? 2. Women are allowed to be tired and not interested in sex, but when a man is tired and disinterested, he must have gotten it elsewhere. 3. How often do we create safe spaces for our young sons and daughters to express their curiosity in regards to sex and reproduction? Or we cut them short from thinking and talking"bad manners?" 4. We continue to be ignorant on the effects of some #contraceptivemethods on women's bodies. What will happen to that woman who cant find a single contraception compatible with her body? How many unplanned children will she have to bear before she hits #menapause ? Will she even enjoy sex with the thought of getting pregnant again lingering through her mind each minute? How many #abortions will she have to get before the man accepts to get a #vasectomy ? 5. What do #healthyrelationships look like? What are we teaching? Are we teaching that caring is #simping ? What is simping? I strongly believe that, sexual reproductive health knowledge, practices and justice have to begin from within oneself. The world will always have something contradictory to say about the #SRHR good practices. Can we make it our personal responsibility to grasp and understand what is good and bad in regards to our #sexualreproductivehealth

Last week, the world observed World Sexual Health Day, but the conversation around Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Justice is ongoing! At Girl Up India, we believe in empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools they need for healthier relationships. We’re proud to partner with Allo Health on their critical survey addressing the global theme of STIs & Relationships. With over 1 million STIs acquired daily worldwide, education and awareness have never been more crucial. Contrary to common fears, testing positive for an STI is not the end of a relationship—but understanding your STI status is the first step toward a healthier, more informed partnership through treatment and management. In line with this year’s theme of Positive Relationships, Allo has developed a FREE STI Risk Assessment Tool. It’s simple, anonymous, and designed to help you determine if testing is needed. No login or signup required! ✨ We encourage you to try it for yourself and share your thoughts in the comments below. Together, let’s break the stigma around sexual health and ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need for positive, healthy relationships – https://bit.ly/3XvdAiU World Association for Sexual Health American Sexual Health Association Allo Health Artika Singh Pranay Jivrajka #WorldSexualHealthDay #SexualHealth #STIRiskAssessment #Partnership #Allo #PositiveRelationships #ReproductiveJustice

September 26 is #WorldContraceptionDay, a reminder that 214 million women in developing countries still lack access to modern contraception, leading to unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions. Additionally, over 1 million new sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are acquired every day worldwide. The solution lies in comprehensive sex education, family planning, and increasing access to affordable contraceptives. Empowering women to make informed #choices and decisions about their #reproductivehealth is crucial. Follow us on social media to learn about ways you can support reproductive rights and health education for all women. Global Fund for Women She's the First Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
