The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a vital chance for our Alumni to share their experiences, and help shape the futures of graduates to come. Alumni of Sheffield Hallam will be sent the survey 15 months after completion. So, those who completed in the summer of 2023 can expect their surveys in the coming months. The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national survey which tells us what graduates are doing and how they feel about it 15 months after graduating from university. This snapshot of graduate life can help future students imagine what life might be like for them in the future, giving ideas and inspiration that they can act on now. For more information about the survey, and how to stay in touch with Hallam as an Alumni, please visit https://lnkd.in/epA2-92k https://lnkd.in/eBNzH_q6

Research is professional practice. Starting the week – and the spring term at Université Laval – with this comic by Daniel Al-Kabbani as a timely reminder. In an age of constantly redefining "key competencies" and "class outcomes," it’s easy to forget that research isn’t just academic – it’s practical, meaningful, and essential. It helps us think critically, ask better questions, and make real contributions to the world. Here’s to a term full of learning, teaching, and research. Let’s keep these conversations going. https://lnkd.in/eKTngWWf #ResearchIsPractice #UniversitéLaval #SpringTerm #AcademicLife

#MYTH: Cornell University’s foreign programs are focused solely on education with full transparency. #FACT: Cornell University has received over $10 billion in foreign funding, nearly 2 billion USD directly to Cornell University for its campus at Doha Education City, and 7.9 billion USD to Sidra Hospital in Doha, which is partly operated by Cornell. It comes with limited disclosure on how these funds influence sensitive research and academic freedom. We must demand transparency to protect the integrity of our institutions. 🔗 Learn more in ISGAP’s report on Cornell’s foreign funding: https://lnkd.in/eMqg55G6 #FactCheck #HigherEducation #Transparency #ISGAPResearch #ForeignInfluence #Cornell
