If you ask yourself what your top five values are, chances are these values are cover-up values.
How do I know?
Because everyone who does a deep dive into values, is surprised to find out they weren’t their values after all.
A (real) value, drives your life and relationships.
Otherwise cover-up values play in your mind but underlying values drive you. This makes relationships confusing. And drama-filled.
Want to find your (real) values?
Next time you’re upset with someone in your life, journal about why you’re upset, down to the very bottom of it. Be transparent with yourself. Don’t shut anything down by feeling right or wrong.
Your values will become apparent.
And when they do, you’ll understand your relationships and how you’d like to move in them.
Don’t settle for a surface understanding when it comes to this. Because when you understand your values well, you get to be creative, clear-minded, and loving in your relationships. Without confusion.
Once you find a value, poke around a bit more. Keep lifting it up and looking underneath. You’ll know you have it right when your conversations and your relationships feel fulfilling, regardless of whether they are smooth or bumpy.

I love helping you understand and direct your relationships for deeper fulfillment, solid trust, and lots more fun.

One of my (surface) values is nature. But, when I poke around I can see its actually connection. Nature helps me feel connected. And feeling connected is what I love.
