🚨 Laser Safety 101 🚨 Whether you are laser welding, marking or cutting these are the top questions we get asked: 1️⃣ What's the difference between Class 1 and Class 4 lasers? 2️⃣ Which laser safety glasses should I use? Even low-powered lasers can cause eye damage, and high-powered lasers can burn skin. Infrared lasers are especially dangerous! 🔬 Class 1 = No hazard 🔬 Class 4 = High risk (common in welding/cutting) For Class 4, always wear safety glasses and use proper barriers. 🔗 Check out the full blog for more laser safety tips! https://lnkd.in/gTSqY3Z3

We have recently seen a surge in enquiries about laser welders and cleaners. It’s great to see growing interest in these advanced technologies, but it’s crucial to address a worrying trend. Many promotional videos circulating online showcase these machines being operated without proper safety measures, which can give a misleading and potentially dangerous impression of what’s involved. However, this recent video from Kyrus is a refreshing exception. The UK market for laser welders is expanding rapidly, with more businesses beginning to embrace these systems. Single-feed laser systems, in particular, have sparked a lot of interest across our industry, with positive feedback offering a glimpse of the future. Now that dual wire-feed lasers are available, they promise to solve some of the setup challenges that users have occasionally faced with single-feed systems. As the technology becomes more widespread, we anticipate a drop in prices, making these systems more accessible. We as a company are now able to offer both types of laser welding technology at prices not far above the price of high-end MIG and TIG systems. Having had technicians test both single and dual-feed systems, I’m pleased to report that the results are overwhelmingly positive. These laser welders are incredibly user-friendly, even on challenging materials like aluminum. They deliver high-speed performance with minimal distortion, and the components require very little refinishing afterward. This process has the potential to significantly streamline production welding for materials up to 5mm thick. Given that the average age of a welder is now 54 in the UK, this technology is a game changer for companies looking to future-proof their operations by reducing the need for highly skilled manual labour. That said, safety must remain a top priority when using these laser systems. Whether it’s welding, cutting, or cleaning, strict adherence to safety protocols is essential. Once again, kudos to Kyrus for highlighting this important aspect in their video. #laser #laserwelding #handheldlaser #productionwelding #kyrus #fabrication #weldingandfabrication #welding #ukindustry #hse #aluminiul #stainlesssteel #sheetmetalfabrication #lasersafety #weldingtechnology

What should I do if the cutting size is incorrect after our plane groove FSCUT9100 system completes the visual calibration? Idea: Is the "swing length parameter" correct? Pay attention to resetting the swing length parameter after changing nozzles of different lengths and re-calibrating the vision; 1. If the distance between the two parts is very close, the second knife will be cut in the air, and the capacitance sensing value may be inaccurate. You can enable "short distance no follow" in the global parameters; 2. Is the plate thickness set correctly: If the plate thickness in the drawing is inconsistent with the actual plate thickness, the actual cutting size will be inconsistent with the drawing size;

𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐤 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 ❝𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬❞ ✦In the part positioning tab of the setup there is a new button called “𝑃𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤 𝑀𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒”. ✦This will open Machine Jogging and allow you to jog the machine via drag handles or by selecting the bodies themselves. This gives you the benefit of seeing your part move in real time on the machine when you jog each axis, helping you verify that you have in fact positioned the part optimally. ✦First ensure that you have adjusted axis directions, and assigned components and defined attachment points, so that the machine model accurately represents the physical configuration of your CNC machine.
