Key Findings: 📱 Recruitment Tactics: Use of coded messaging and slang "Gamification" of criminal activities Framing illegal tasks as challenges or games Heavy exploitation of encrypted messaging platforms ⚠️ Concerning Trends: Minors involved in almost all criminal markets Increasing assignment to violent activities Multi-country recruitment operations Deliberate targeting to evade law enforcement 🔍 Why This Matters: Criminal networks are adapting their methods to exploit young people while minimizing digital traces, making detection and prevention increasingly challenging for law enforcement. The UK is hosting the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly, which will take place from 4–7 November 2024 in Glasgow. The largest global gathering of senior law enforcement officials will bring together some 1,000 participants, including heads of police, ministers, and senior government officials from around the world. As part of this international event, the 3PO_Project, led by CENTRIC in partnership with the UK Home Office, Police Service of Northern Ireland, South Yorkshire Police, Lancashire Constabulary, Police Scotland, Humberside Police, and the Metropolitan Police, will have a stand at the law enforcement exhibition, which aims to showcase the best of UK policing and law enforcement, with a focus on the three General Assembly themes: Global Leadership, Innovation and Collaboration.
