Here’s what I mean: Collaborating on music can be a fantastic way to mix different talents and ideas, leading to some amazing results. However, when too many people get involved, it can get a bit messy. Everyone might have their own thoughts on how the music should sound, which can cause disagreements and make it hard to stay focused on the main goal. This can be even trickier when collaborators have different tastes or ways of working. Sometimes, it’s tough to coordinate schedules or make sure everyone is on the same page, which can slow things down. But in my experience, with good communication and respect for each other’s ideas, collaboration can still be a huge success. I’ve seen that having 1-3 frequent collaborators that you mesh with well is easier than having a big group work on a record. When everyone works together toward a shared vision, the end result can be truly great, blending everyone’s strengths into something greater than the sum of its parts. Follow if you agree 💯

You won’t find success in the music industry by waiting for the perfect opportunity. Success comes from navigating the chaos. The industry is a mess—unpredictable, ruthless, and full of challenges. But that’s where you grow. ▶ Say yes to projects even if they’re risky. ▶ Build relationships in the hardest times. ▶ Stay ready for anything. Chaos will hit when you least expect it. Opportunities don’t come to those who wait. They come to those who thrive in the madness.

Building a fan base is the solution to most of the challenges artists face in their careers. Okay, check this out👇 - Want to boost your streams? Build a fan base. - Looking to make money from your music? Build a fan base. - Hoping to catch the attention of labels, sponsors, and endorsements? Build a fan base. - Want to secure more collaboration opportunities? Build a fan base. - Hoping to sell out venues more easily? Build a fan base. The list could go on and on, but all I’m saying is… Focus on growing your fan base, it’s the foundation that will strengthen every other part of your music career.

The music industry is built on relationships. I’ve seen artists with incredible talent go unnoticed, while others with the right connections thrive. This isn’t about luck—it’s about having someone on your team who knows how to open doors. As a manager, one of my core roles is networking. It’s not just about attending events or exchanging business cards; it’s about building genuine, mutually beneficial relationships with industry stakeholders—promoters, A&Rs, distributors, media personalities, and even other artists. Opportunities don’t come out of nowhere. That playlist placement, endorsement deal, or prime performance slot often starts with a conversation between someone who believes in you and someone who can make it happen. If you’re an artist and your manager isn’t actively building these bridges, it’s time to rethink your strategy. Relationships drive results in this industry. Who’s on your team, and are they truly leveraging their network for your growth? I’m open to meeting new people. Let’s connect and grow! #ArtistManagement #MusicIndustry #NetworkingForSuccess #MusicBusinessTips #RelationshipMatters

Conferences, like sports teams, thrive on collective experiences. Recent research into music festivals highlights the power of shared memories to influence behavior long after an event ends. The key takeaway? The social experience — both during and after the event — embeds emotional connections that deepen learning and drive future engagement. For coaches and leaders, this offers a blueprint for designing impactful team-building or training sessions. Applying this to our field, we can create opportunities for interaction before, during, and after team activities. Pre-session hype fosters excitement and builds anticipation. Engaging activities during sessions prompt collaboration and belonging. Post-session reflections help cement lessons learned and set actionable goals. Whether coaching a team or organizing a player development workshop, thinking past, present, and future ensures the impact lasts far beyond the final buzzer. https://lnkd.in/gunMTPPg

Join Live Out L!ve at Live Production Summit in January. Mentorship is an essential component in fostering diversity and inclusion within the live music industry, where systemic barriers often hinder access for underrepresented groups. Industry leaders and emerging professionals alike recognize that mentorship not only helps to break down these entry barriers but also plays a pivotal role in amplifying marginalized voices. When seasoned professionals share their knowledge, networks, and experiences, they empower a new generation of artists, technicians, and managers to navigate the complexities of a notoriously challenging landscape. The conversations surrounding mentorship often highlight the unique challenges faced by these marginalized groups, such as limited access to resources, representation in decision-making roles, and biases that can skew opportunities. Building inclusive mentor-mentee relationships is critical in addressing these challenges. Effective strategies include fostering open communication, actively listening to the experiences of the mentee, and acknowledging the distinct spectrum of experiences that different backgrounds bring to the table. Mentors can create safe spaces where emerging talent feels comfortable sharing their insights and challenges, forging a relationship that nurtures growth, understanding, and advocacy. Furthermore, mentorship has a profound impact on career advancement, as mentees often gain invaluable guidance on skills development, networking, and navigating industry politics that are critical for career progression. Both emerging talent and established professionals possess the ability to contribute to a more inclusive music ecosystem. Emerging artists can embrace the idea of mentorship as a means of not only advancing their careers but also as a pathway to introduce fresh perspectives and diverse narratives that enrich the entire industry. Conversely, established professionals have the responsibility to extend their networks and provide opportunities for those who may otherwise be overlooked. In doing so, they not only fortify their legacy but also cultivate a vibrant, inclusive community that thrives on diversity. Ultimately, meaningful mentorship can reshape the landscape of the live music industry, encouraging a culture of support that benefits everyone involved, and fosters a richer, more diverse artistic expression.
