Love is not jealous. Word of the Day Today is a day of victory for you Wednesday, November 13, 2024 Problems will not all magically disappear. Jesus never promised that. But He did promise something much better: Victory. If you love Jesus, He will give you the power to overcome problems and live victoriously. And that life of victory can begin today. Believe in Jesus! But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. - Romans 8:37 In the book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 37, we are comforted by the inspiring truth that in all situations of life, we are more than conquerors through the love of Christ. This verse is a testimony to the redemptive and transforming power of divine love. Paul, writing to the Romans, highlights the strength we find in our connection with Christ. In stating that we are "more than conquerors," Paul goes beyond simple earthly achievements; he points us to an eternal and spiritual victory. This victory is not based on our abilities or merits, but on the abundant grace of God’s love manifested in Christ Jesus. When we face challenges, trials, or adversities, we can trust that God’s love will sustain us and enable us to overcome. The verse reminds us that we are not alone in our journey. Christ is the reason for our victory, and His love is the foundation that keeps us standing firm. Amid life’s uncertainties, we can have confidence in the promise that God’s love is sufficient to lead us to victory, not only as overcomers but as joint heirs with Christ. I have this funny habit of naming feelings, people, situations. I do this for 2 reasons - (a) I love to and (b) I don’t get to name brands unless a project comes our way, so this is good practice. I’ll share 2 samples that have become popular in my social circles: 🫐 “Blueberry heart” - I’m a romantic and my feelings are super delicate, child-like and easy to bruise. When I first ate blueberries, I remember thinking - it’s too expensive, tiny and nutritious to just be ‘consumed’ and not cherished. Like my heart. 
 🕉️ “Super Hindu” - A loose translation of the term "bhakt" (no sarcasm, I practice Hinduism). Just a term I believe is more suitable for the English speaking, matcha drinking, practicing Hindu youth who read the Gita in times of need and are vocal about their beliefs. I am a fan of the guy who coined the term FOMO, and the dream is to keep naming for fun until one of them catches on 😅 #nomenclature #brandnaming #fomo

Anointing and talent are two totally different things. You can be talented and have no anointing (Ex. 7:20-22). And you can be anointed and have very little perceived talent (Ex. 6:28-30). And as believers, we fail when we confuse the two. There are talented celebrities that get certain ‘spiritual considerations’, simply because they are ‘talented’. We think since they can sing so great, they must be real holy. And so we listen to, and internalize all that they say and do- because they’re talented. But talent isn’t spiritual, and does not necessarily reflect the presence or influence of the Holy Spirit. Only anointing does (1 John 2:20). There are people out there who can’t sing a lick- but when they lift their voices to God, what you hear is ‘holy’. And you know it. You feel it. And it can’t be replicated. They may lack talent (by worldly standards), but ooze with the anointing that comes from a genuine indwelling and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Anointing comes from relationship, and from closeness with God (1 John 2:27), while talent comes from relationship and closeness with voice coaches and competent musicians. Be very, very careful about dismissing those in the church who lack the physical talent that it takes to please the ear (Jer. 20:7). God can use anybody. When we poke fun at, diminish, ridicule, and disregard those who aren’t the best singers, musicians, and even speakers- without evaluating their sincerity (and biblical accuracy), we run the risk of stifling the glory that is to be given to God.
