How does Open Forest Protocol issue high integrity, high quality credits? OFP's fully digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) and Credit Issuance Platform is its own unique standard and registry, currently offering a groundbreaking ARR (Afforestation, Reforestation, Regeneration) methodology.   Our process encompasses a cost-free, rapid, and frictionless project development cycle for any forest project around the world, regardless of size 👇 1️⃣ Project qualification: Determine if your project qualifies under our ARR methodology. (https://lnkd.in/ga86W5T5) 2️⃣ Project registration: Submit information to be officially whitelisted as a qualified Open Forest Protocol project, and become publicly accessible in our Project Atlas- https://lnkd.in/gxBesU7m 3️⃣ First data upload: Upon registration, a 6 month timer begins counting down. Your first data upload is due within this 6 month window.   4️⃣ Data is sent to our validation system, where multiple, independent 3rd parties (up to 33 as of this post) are incentivized to review the data against their own knowledge and data sets (remote sensing, secondary ground truthing etc.) and vote to either affirm or deny the data. A verified data set becomes the project's baseline.  5️⃣ Projects begin a second 6 month timer. Again, ground truth data must be collected before the timer expires and it is again verified. Projects affirmed by achieving a consensus/majority of votes to verify the data upload can mint their first credits. Current tree size - baseline tree size = credit issuance (as a VERY basic version of the math).  6️⃣ Credits issued are visible on our Atlas.  7️⃣ Data uploads are due every 6 months for the first 2 years of the project (to more quickly establish a verifiable trend line) and then every year thereafter for a 40 year project duration. Thus, credits can be issued annually for a 40 year time horizon.
