National Margarita Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the beloved margarita, a cocktail that has won the hearts of many around the world. The Origin is a Mystery The exact origin of the Margarita is shrouded in mystery, with several bartenders across Mexico and the United States claiming to have invented it in the 1930s and 1940s. One popular story credits Carlos "Danny" Herrera at his restaurant Rancho La Gloria, halfway between Tijuana and Rosarito, Mexico, for creating the drink for dancer Marjorie King in 1938. The Classic Recipe The classic Margarita recipe is a simple yet perfect blend of tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau or triple sec, often served with salt on the rim of the glass. Over the years, this traditional recipe has been the foundation for countless variations, incorporating a wide range of flavors and ingredients. A Record-Breaking Cocktail: The world's largest Margarita was created in 2011 at the Margaritaville Casino in Las Vegas. This gigantic cocktail was made in a 17-foot-tall tank and contained over 8,500 gallons of liquid, earning it a place in the Guinness World Records. Margarita Means Daisy in Spanish The word "Margarita" is Spanish for "daisy." The Margarita cocktail is believed to be a variation on the Daisy, a cocktail that became popular in the early 20th century, which was traditionally made with brandy, citrus juice, and a sweetener. The Margarita essentially substitutes tequila for brandy, offering a Mexican twist to an old favorite. #NationalMargaritaDay

CORUS Effervescent Cocktails are Inspired by culturally iconic cocktails that bring people together. We've started with our first product, Sparkling Rum Punch, which is inspired by our traditional Caribbean Rum Punch Tradition. It’s the cocktail we inherited from our grandparents and parents - passed down through family gatherings, parties and shared at carnival time. We love how everyone has their own unique twist to this drink, and ours has been captured in COR:US. To do justice to the original rum punch, the team sought out global experts to create the drink from the ground up. The goal was to give this traditional cocktail a modern twist, while staying true to its classic roots. We turned to seasoned professionals in the beverages category and their extensive networks. We brought together experts from both the scientific and retail sides of the industry and local and international mixologists. As the core COR:US team, we know rum punch and rum well from the consumer's point of view (let’s just say we’ve had our fair share!). With the help of our advisors and flavour science lab Power Brands Ltd in California, and skilled mixologists / bar owners from Barbados, New York and Florida we created what we believe is the perfect ready to drink cocktail. Of course, we're a little biased, but everyone we've shared it with so far agrees! We landed on a taste that's refreshing, not sweet but balanced, zesty, a little spicy, and with a hint of bitterness. In other words it has the character, and intriguing flavour profile that rum punch is known for. We only use 100% real lime, real nutmeg, real organic cane sugar, bitters and sparkling water.. The rum we use was developed separately to pair perfectly with these flavours, given how important rum is to the overall taste. It had to be Caribbean rum to stay authentic, and ours is from the birthplace of rum, Barbados. The real lime and real Caribbean rum is really what makes COR:US stand out from what is currently available in the market. It's what everyone first says when they try it - "Wow, this tastes like a real cocktail. I'd take this with me... to the beach / sailing / to tennis / to a festival / to a BBQ. Where can I buy it?" So far we are only available in Bermuda at: https://lnkd.in/g_nBZCxi Barbados will be next, then the USA. If you are in any of these locations, drop us a line and I'm sure we can sort you out with your first COR:US. 😊 More updates to come as others #jointhecorus and we arrive in a location near to you. Pop Quiz: What's the most important element of a great cocktail? A) Flavour Balance B) Aesthetic C) Price Point You're probably thinking, "D) All of the above". But for Hey Caddy the secret sauce to our popular cocktail range is it is 'what the customer wants'. The brains behind the cocktail menus at Hey Caddy and X-Golf Group are all experienced hospitality and mixology veterans, but we're careful not to fall into the trap that lots of cocktail bars do: making cocktails for themselves and other bartenders. We study the trends, ingredients and designs that the country are loving, then distill that into our menu. You won't find esoteric or extremely complex cocktails on our menu, you'll find easy drinking fan favourites that have something for everyone, but are each still expertly crafted. We want to make food and drink that everyone loves. Pushing the known boundaries of flavour can be the inner city speakeasy's job! #heycaddy #hospitalitytrends #mixology #cocktailculture #cocktaildesign

Happy #WorldCocktailDay! 🍸 I'm thrilled to celebrate this day to commemorate the first known definition of a cocktail, published in 1806 by the newspaper Balance and Columbian Repository. Cocktails are more than just a drink - they are an experience, a reflection of culture, creativity, and the art of mixology. From the classic Martini to the innovative craft cocktails, each drink tells a story and evokes a unique experience. One of the favourite moments to enjoy a cocktail is the #aperitivo, a tradition deeply rooted in Italian culture. Over 75% of Italians consider it an essential ritual! And it's not just in Italy - the aperitivo is also a cherished moment for French consumers. In fact, around a third of consumers in both countries regularly visit bars and venues for their aperitivo, at least once a month, and some even once or twice a week. The aperitivo tradition continues to thrive, providing a convivial moment for socialising and relaxation. As the aperitivo trend grows, it remains an important aspect of the Italian lifestyle and a cherished ritual for many consumers. It's a pleasure that deserves to be celebrated, especially on World Cocktail Day! 🍹 #Cocktail #FoodAndBeverage #Mixology

The next trend: THE FOOD “Rather than passing around one special cocktail, couples are leaning into the drinking experience. Think Bemelmans-inspired tableside martinis, a roaming gin cart with an exotic array of fixings, dinner courses paired with sipping tequila, or a full-on tequila bar. From decadent dessert or grazing tables to custom cocktails and DIY drink stations, guests are loving doing it for themselves. There’s something exciting about having your own ice cream truck at an event. In a day and age where customization is expected, DIY stations give that option for both variety and personalization Let us know your views about this trend in the comments below #trends #weddingtrends2024 #destinationweddings #luxuryweddings
