Years ago, I started doing something small with my team that led to big results: Capturing every single “thank you” we received. It could be an email, a quick comment after a meeting, or even just a passing compliment. At the time, I had no idea how important it would become. Fast forward to those tough days—when it feels like every step forward is an uphill battle. That’s when I’d pull out those thank-you notes. As reminder that the work we do, even when it feels thankless, actually makes a difference. Every acknowledgment, every thank you, strengthens the connection between the work we do and why we do it. That connection is what sets the best teams apart—they know their efforts aren’t just tasks, they’re contributions to something bigger. If you want to build that kind of team, start by doing this: 1.Capture those moments of gratitude. ➔ Every “thank you” is a reminder that the work you’re doing has real impact. 2.Use them when things get tough. ➔When your team feels drained, these reminders help them reconnect with their purpose. 3.Share the stories. ➔Show your team how their work is making a difference—how it’s more than just a job. We don’t always see the ripple effects of our work, but those “thank you’s” are proof it matters. Capture those moments. They remind us that it’s not just about results—it’s about the lives we touch. That’s what turns good teams into the best teams—staying connected to purpose.

Running a business or working in sales isn't all wins. You know this. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be grateful, even during the hard parts. The tough parts are actually what people look back on and miss! I get it; when it's hard, your last thought is probably, "Gee, I sure am thankful!" Here are some things I do to practice gratitude: 1 - Reframe You have to change how you see things. Is that difficult client teaching you patience? Is the unexpected downtime giving you space to reevaluate and improve? Shifting your perspective helps you see hidden lessons. 2 - Say it out loud Whether it's to a colleague, a client, or yourself, say thank you. Verbalizing gratitude, even for small things, positively affects their brains and yours! You can also use journaling very efficiently during this step. 3 - Pause When things get overwhelming, take a breath. In that pause, find one thing—just one—that you're grateful for. It might be your favorite pen, a hot cup of coffee, or the fact that your team showed up today. What's one thing you can be grateful for today?

John F Kennedy said: "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them" This means while saying "thank you" is important, the truest form of appreciation lies in taking action and demonstrating gratitude through your behavior, not just with words. Here are three ways to show gratitude to customers: 1️⃣ Personalized Appreciation: Go beyond a generic "thank you" by acknowledging specific contributions or loyalty. Send handwritten notes, tailored offers, or exclusive perks to let customers know their individual support truly matters. 2️⃣ Actively Listen and Respond: Show gratitude by listening to customer feedback and acting on it. Whether it’s improving a product or enhancing service, demonstrating that their input shapes your business fosters trust and connection. 3️⃣ Celebrate Milestones Together: Use customer anniversaries, birthdays, or their business achievements as opportunities to celebrate them. Hosting appreciation events or spotlighting customers on social media can make them feel valued and integral to your success.

How Much Does It Cost to Say Thank You? Recently, while shopping at Costco, I noticed something surprising. When people approach the sample stands, many don't ask, “May I have one, please?” and often forget to say, “Thank you.” It made me wonder: Have we become less verbally communicative? Are we missing gratitude in our everyday interactions? My mom always said, “Manners are free,” and it’s a lesson that has stuck with me. But in today's fast-paced world, it seems we might be losing sight of this simple truth, both in our personal lives and in our workplaces. We don’t need to spend money to make someone feel valued. Saying “thank you” costs nothing, but its value is immense. A little bit of gratitude can have a huge impact on our relationships and our communities. So, next time you’re handed that sample at Costco or someone assists you at work, remember to say “thank you.” When was the last time you expressed gratitude to someone for their service? Let’s start a conversation about how we can bring more gratitude into our daily lives.

3 years ago I only received a handful Happy Birthday messages. Today my phone was blown up. The impact each and everyone of you following my journey has blown my mind. I shed a few tears of joy. So thanks for making me cry on my Bday. But instead of receiving gifts, I want to share a few pieces of wisdom I’ve learned along the way. They’re principles that have shaped my life, my business, and the way I approach relationships. So, as I celebrate another year of growth, let me give you three of the most important takeaways that have made all the difference in my life. Hoping it does the same to you. Consider this my back gift to you for all of the support you have given me in these amazing years. 1. Treat People with Respect When you treat people with respect, they will naturally respect you in return. Relationships built on mutual respect foster trust, loyalty, and long-term success. 2. Build a Vision and Find People That Align With It Creating a clear and compelling vision is essential. But what drives success is surrounding yourself with people who share that vision, values, and passion. The right team amplifies your impact. 3. Help Others, and They Will Show Up for You Helping others without expecting anything in return builds goodwill. In times of need, those you’ve supported are more likely to come through for you. It’s all about creating a strong, supportive network. Keep these lessons front and center, and you'll build stronger relationships and greater long-term success. Have an incredible day and go out to the world to make it a better place. #world #better #lessons

What is a thank you? It’s more than just good manners! 🤔 It’s about showing gratitude and acknowledging other people’s hard work 😁 However, according to the Institute of Customer Service the amount we thank people is going down! 📉 This is a great shame, as a simple thank you can have a great benefit on the people around you 🌍 They’ll feel more appreciated and valued for their time and effort, and it can improve their perception or you or even your company! ⭐ So, let’s buck the trend and mind our Ps and Qs! 💭 #customerservice #employeetraining #employeedevelopment #manners #customerexperience

"Consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you. In those moments, you must clap for yourself—be your biggest fan." -Unknown This quote has stuck with me because it serves as a reminder that there are times when the applause is absent, and in those moments, the most important thing is to keep going—motivated by your own belief in yourself. During those tough days when it feels like giving up is easier, it’s the internal drive that carries you forward. One secret I’d like to share: To stay grounded when consistency is tough, I’ve built a daily habit of asking myself before wrapping up work: Did I stay true to my principles, give my full effort, and focus on doing the right thing, ensuring I maintain the trust placed in me, regardless of external validation? This daily practice helps me stay aligned with my values and reflect on whether I have truly given my best, even when the journey gets tough. And, this Thanksgiving, I am truly thankful for the continuous support from my clients, supplier partners, LI Network and Evolutyz Corp, including my manager and the amazing teams across Technology, HR/PeopleOps, Digital Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Delivery. Each of you is playing a meaningful role in my journey, and I’m grateful for the personal and professional growth I experience every day. Wishing everyone a joyful and reflective Thanksgiving!
