As a Customer Service Specialist, attending to guests at Ebonylife Cinema within the building is part of my job role but when a guest needs assistance anywhere near the building, i have to play my part in the best way possible. It was the cool of the evening and we were preparing for the last movie showtime so I took a break to go get some snacks. Coming back I saw a lady trying to maneuver her way with her car. The security personnel, usually a helpful presence, were currently occupied with other cars coming in for late hour movies. I have a little driving skill which I put to use by directing her when to drive forward or to reverse, she drove out safely and within a shorter time. No introduction was needed because her car window was wined up. Helping our guests in anyway possible is one of those things that makes us stand out in the hospitality industry. That little help or good service rendered makes our guests feel special and want to come back for another experience with us at Ebonylife Place. I have seen first hand what good customer service can do to both guest and employees. For a guests, you have left a mark in their hearts which most time transcend to them coming back just to relieve that experience again. For an employee, it enables friendship, more opportunities for growth and sometimes bonuses from them. Sometimes it might not be helping a guest drive out the car park, a warm and simple smile can go a long way to elevate their mood. Even starting a simple conversation by asking "How their day went?" The people are all friendly. The cleaners are good at cleaning. The queen beds I have had are comfortable. The king are getting more worn and could use an update. The room this time smelled of cleaner, but it is definitely as clean as the smell of clean.
