This huge effort beat last year's amount and reached the target of $75 million for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center earlier than expected! It's incredible to witness such a phenomenal success. It is a testament to the unstoppable spirit of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium leadership and each participant who turned adversity into victory together. Their collective resilience has powered a movement that's met one of the most ambitious donation goals in sports history, showing the world what's possible when we unite for a common cause. Help Paul Beat Brain Cancer: A Call for Support and Hope 💪 I'm deeply moved by Maddy Cross's post and the YouTube video on the fundraising webpage, even though I don't know Paul Redgrave. Here's a summary of Paul's story from the fundraising page and video: Paul is a brilliant young man with a passion for neuroscience and an Oxford-educated historian with a kind and sensitive heart. He is currently facing the fight of his life against glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer diagnosed three years ago. Paul has shown incredible determination and resilience. He has endured over 30 rounds of radiotherapy and 20 months of chemotherapy and followed a strict medical diet and an extensive supplement regimen, all while continuing his studies to make an impact on neuroscience research. Now, Paul needs our help. He requires treatment privately on the NHS and access to targeted chemotherapy and immunotherapies available only in Germany to extend his life and continue his studies. Today is National Cancer Survivors Day, and we're celebrating the courage, resilience and triumphs of survivors like Olivia, who inspire us with their incredible strength and positivity. Olivia was diagnosed with stage IV alveolar rhabodmyosarcoma in 2019 when she was only 9 years old. Olivia endure 2 surgeries, 66 weeks chemo and 28 rounds of proton radiation therapy, all while keeping a positive attitude, even during the hardest moments. Today, Olivia is cancer-free. Now is the perfect time to rally behind kids like Olivia, whose stories remind us why we do what we do. I am amazed by how many of my fellow Allspringers have joined the Expect Miracles Foundation - Financial Services Against Cancer distance challenge in 2024 – we are at 434 Strong! It is a cause close to my heart, taking my dad way to early. It is designed to make a difference where 100% of participant-raised dollars through the Distance Challenge goes to cancer research as well as financial assistance for young adult cancer survivors. I can appreciate how many of us have our specific charities, and that is totally understandable. …so here’s my simple ask: Just “like” this post. That’s all. No strings attached.
