[ HERCA - Working Group on Medical Applications Meeting ] Last week, #HERCA's working group on #medicalapplications (WGMA) had its meeting in Bern, Switzerland, hosted by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (Office fédéral de la santé publique OFSP). This meeting focused specifically on #artificialintelligence and the role and challenges for #radiationprotection authorities. The working group also worked further on #nuclearmedicine, #patientprotection, #inspection, and #nonmedicalimaging of humans. Next year an important action on the justification of #radiodiagnosticimaging will be launched and a webinar, for competent authorities, on #protontherapy will be organised. In all of this, enhancing common understandings and interaction with the stakeholders involved always play a crucial role.
