We launched a new American Economic Liberties Project campaign this week to ban the use of algorithmic price-fixing software in rental housing markets. This software allows corporate landlords and property managers to collude to push up rents by enabling them to share data and specific pricing recommendations across a rental market. San Francisco has already adopted a ban, and several other cities and states are working on similar legislation (including New Jersey, where I testified in favor of a bill yesterday). Click to learn more about the issue, see the state of play nationwide, and figure out what you can do to help!
