In a time where the value of design faces questioning, even at MNML—known for creating categories and transforming industries through design—we're embracing change to secure our small team’s future. The launch of AIREA, an internal project in development since the onset of the pandemic, is more than an innovation; it's our step towards defining our path amidst design industry shifts. Our approach at MNML has always been multifaceted: supporting corporate clients, guiding startups to market, and nurturing our own intellectual property and brands. This holistic model leverages our expertise, process, and a proven track record of success. With growing and unprecedented environmental challenges, as we prepare to bring this nature-derived, safe, and powerful air & surface purification technology to your indoor spaces, your insights are invaluable in refining our brand and product experience. Your participation in our survey about your home wellness needs will help inform and shape this journey. We've been believers in crowd-sourced innovation and funding since our early days, famously putting Kickstarter on the map in 2010, as a way to bring fragile ideas to life while preserving creative independence. Together, AIREA, MNML and our community can pioneer solutions in wellness tech for a healthier tomorrow. Since we have been self-funding this ambitious venture, your early support, in any form, marks the beginning of this new chapter where design-driven companies and ventures can lead with integrity, transparency, and empathy. Join us as we begin this exciting chapter, defining the future of design and wellness together. #AirPurification #SurfacePurification #HealthyLiving #IndoorAirQuality #TechForGood #SustainableTech #CleanTech #Entrepreneurship #StartUpLife #WellnessTech #chicagosmallbusiness #chicagostartup Scott Wilson Matt Puhalla Gary Paulsen Jillian Tackaberry Matteo iavicoli Chris Watson David Basken #homewellness https://lnkd.in/gGai3U3v

Hospitality Technology's #hoteltechforum is officially under way. Currently learning how to #thinklikeafuturist with Scott Steinberg: Despite ongoing #disruption, most companies will remain slow to adapt in how they #innovate in the face of ongoing change. That will create opportunity for companies that are able to embrace change and think like a #futurist. So.... how do you think like a futurist? Scott encourages us to ask ourselves these questions: ❓ How can you find ways to win with every opportunity that you pursue that can be applied to other ventures? ❓ How readily can you repurpose tools, tech and insights in new ways? ❓ Where else could your efforts quickly translate to other contexts or spaces? ◾ Keep an open mind, and make it a point to think proactively and routinely on how to make all of these solutions work for you. ◾ Do everything you can to stay tuned into changes in the market. ◾ Doing everything you can to give yourself tools to respond to those changes. Time to rethink what really matters. After nearly 9 months in Urban City, I’ve realized that while the city offers conveniences—like 10-minute grocery deliveries—it lacks something much more vital: fresh air, open spaces, and a connection to nature. This isn’t just about convenience, it’s about our well-being. The absence of clean air and green spaces impacts both our physical and mental health. Yet, startups focus more on luxury and speed, rather than solving the real issues that affect our quality of life. Imagine if the same energy and innovation went into addressing these fundamental needs. Cleaner air, greener cities, and better environments would lead to healthier and happier communities. It’s time to shift the focus from convenience to well-being. #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #WellBeing #UrbanLiving #Sustainability #MentalHealth
