Last week, Cabka was accepted as an active Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) member. PRE is an impactful association in an industry that is the backbone of achieving circularity. Circularity is a concept that relies on collaboration. This year, PRE celebrates 200 companies among its member base. These companies bring concentrated knowledge of materials, processes, and more to advance the European circular economy agenda. Today is the International Recycling Day! At our company, every day is dedicated to recycling under our HEAL2050 Sustainability Strategy. Through our Green Harmonization packaging strategy, here’s what we are working on: 📦 Using 100% recycled paper for all package inserts and boxes.  ♻ Producing blister packs and other packaging with biodegradable content.  📚 Organizing training programs on recycling, waste management, and conscious consumption. Thanks to these efforts, in 2022 alone, we recycled more than 1,225 tonnes of non-hazardous waste. THE CREATION OF A CIRCULAR ECONOMY TAKES DOING THE RIGHT THINGS... RIGHT! Our flexible packaging solutions including HOWTORECYCLE approved sustainable flexible packaging for pet food ranging from small pouches to large format bags up to 48 lbs. Conventional packaging includes multi-material laminates that can’t be recycled. Our packaging facilitates a circular plastics economy compliant with industry guidelines for recyclability and can be recycled where proper collection and sorting facilities exist. This is because we use PE-based materials compatible with recycling including PE-based laminates tailored for the application.

🌱 Exciting News in Sustainable Packaging! 🌱 Coop and Emmi have taken a significant step towards sustainability by launching dairy products in environmentally sound PET bottles. These innovative white PET bottles are not only fully recyclable but also part of a closed-loop system in Switzerland, making them the only plastic food packaging of their kind in the country.
