I work on ServiceNow in English, but often need to switch to German for our customers. This can be time consuming when fields and elements must be cross checked in both English & German. 💡Thankfully, SN Utils Lang function lets me switch languages effortlessly, saving me a ton of time . Highly recommend my fellow servcienow professionals working in multilingual environments to use lang function. lang de- To switch to German lang en- To switch to English *Plugin I18N German Translations should be activated to see german translation of OOTB fields #ServiceNow #Localization #SNUtils #Productivity #CustomerService #servicenowprofessionals
Great info. However, if we're performing activities for customers on client/employer provided assets/resources, one of the important aspects that we generally presume that we can install any browser plugin/extension which is beneficial for us and if it's popular in an industry/globally and has been widely considered safe/secure to use. Things which are usually skipped: 1. Consulting with the client/employer InfoSec team before installing any browser plugin/extension. 2. Obtaining necessary approval for installation and usage.
I wish the filter navigator would return the German version even if you search for the English name. SN Utils helps a lot, but it always took me a minute to realize that I have to switch back to English after searching for “incidents” didn't return anything.
Thanks for highlighting the /lang slash command Amruta! Glad this helps and hope you benefit from other features as well! (Activating Technical Names gives insight in translated fields)
