If maritime engineering is your passion, you'll probably think Rick Hunt has done it all in his career. Rick entered the Navy as a technical apprentice at age 16. He then went on to further study with the Navy's RMIT scheme in undergraduate engineering before working as a Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer (WEEO) in the Fleet, a stint at the Australian Defence Force Academy, and finally to the ANZAC ship project. He joined AMT over 20 years ago as their Combat Systems Manager and now combines that position with the role of Cybersecurity Manager - the perfect fit for a defence-accredited security officer. Rick also plays a key part in the career development of graduates and recruits, using AMT's unique position in Australia's maritime engineering industry to customise training pathways that maximise individual interests and skills.
