SBA teaching is here to stay but the literature is sparse. ✍️This evaluation utilised a mixed-method retrospective approach, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis of routine teaching feedback. Over a 2-year period, 10 standard teaching sessions were initially conducted, followed by the development of 43 SBA teaching sessions aimed at improving teaching delivery. Students completed anonymised questionnaires voluntarily after each teaching session (n=3,814 in teaching with SBAs; n=868 in teaching without SBAs). ✍️ thoughts : research In the UK for Medical students and doctors is inaccessible , expensive , low yield and sadly under appreciated. Excited to share that I have obtained a certificate for successfully completing "IPPCR: Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research" course 🏢 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). I recommend this course since it provides an overview in conducting clinical research, and describes the principles involved in monitoring research. 📚MedEd Collaborative (www.mededcollaborative.org) have launched a project looking at the selection criteria used for specialised foundation programme training. 🩺The project is open to all medical students (not just those who want to pursue SFP). The aim of this study is to identify whether selection criteria advantage or disadvantaged some groups of individuals.
