I absolutely loved the theme of storytelling at the recent Legal Tech in the South West event. As a marketer, it’s at the heart of everything we do. I always urge students to learn this invaluable skill for both their personal and professional lives. The event highlighted how all stories are inherently about people: their purpose, desires, struggles and triumphs. And businesses are made up of people, so when we are serving client businesses, solving their issues or addressing market needs, what we are really doing is tapping into people’s struggles, inspiring and helping them. In an age of increasingly more advertising noise, emerging technologies and shifting work patterns across all industries, what we come back to is connecting deeper with what makes us human. Thank you for a great day discussing legal tech and innovation in a way that keeps it human and reminds the new generation of lawyers that they are not being replaced. Instead, they need to embrace who they are fully, connect with others and jump to opportunities that are in line with their inner, most human core values. My main takeaway is that the role of legal tech is to provide the support tools that will ultimately help lawyers do more of what is irreplaceable - being excellent client relationship managers. Thank you to the amazing team behind the LWinSW event. Great organisation excellent speakers and amazing atmosphere from all attending! Particular thanks to Marc May, Marco Mendola and the MC Manu Kanwar!
