You're one being, in one vehicle, living one life. It's easy to get distracted from your vision with so much going on around you. That’s why you need to direct that vehicle toward the life you want with intention and prioritize what’s most important. My definition of intention is: a goal with a commitment to achieve it. For me, my family, team, and clients are my top priorities. To focus on them, I need to cut back on my speaking schedule and volunteer boards. I’ve made that commitment for myself. What is your intention for your life, and what commitment will you make to achieve it?

Thank God it’s Friday☺️💫 Let’s talk about Tips to find volunteer opportunities in our communities. Tip Number One; Consider your interests You may want to ask yourself these questions: * What am I passionate about? * What issues do I deeply care about? * What skills do I want to utilize or develop? When seeking volunteer opportunities, think about the activities or causes that truly resonate with you. Focusing your volunteer efforts on your interests will enhance your experience and make it more fulfilling. You will be more dedicated and engaged, and you'll also motivate others who share your interests to participate. Begin by reflecting on your passions and the issues you care deeply about. Afterwards, explore organizations and causes that match your interests. Happy Friday and Make the most out of the day☺️

How do you know you’re a working parent during the summer? Three words: Summer camp scheduling. Years ago, a colleague was running around in February and March trying to fill her kids summer break. As a non-parent, I couldn’t fathom why this was so hard, and why she was stressing months in advance. I couldn’t have been more wrong. So, so wrong. Finding and getting into summer camps is big business. You must consider: 📌 When they open and how fast will they fill up? 📌 Will your kid like that activity by the time camp rolls around? 📌 Do they conflict with any family vacations? 📌 Are any friends going? 📌 Cost (this is an entirely different topic!) Fast forward 15 years, and our family calendar for the next two months is an exercise of who needs to be where and when. It’s equally exhausting and exciting. So, to all my working parent taxis — I mean friends — cheers to a fun, summer camp-filled season! ________________ 👋🏻 I’m Annemarie, an #eventprof turned #copywriter 📎 I craft jargon-free content that snags audience attention ✍🏻 Need writing support? You’re struggling to get volunteer work I got my first volunteer job by being visible! I got my first volunteer gig 4 years ago! → I wasn’t even looking for it. →I was highlighting my skills for something else. 1 year ago l joined a youth led organization. → I saw an advertisement and applied. If you’re looking for volunteer work, you must: ✅Craft your cv for each application ✅Highlight your strengths. ✅Research opportunities that you like. ✅Apply to organizations you want to work with. ✅Highlight why organization A is your choice ✅Show how you’d use your expertise in organization A Be intentional about volunteer work, show it through your application. PS. Do you want more tips on volunteering? Here’s a visual of the youth leaders I’ll be working with in 2025 from Letters to Strangers Harare Chapter! 💃

Volunteer work is bad! and you should avoid it at all cost! While I was completing my secondary education, I was "advised" that volunteer work is a scam and it is a waste of time. It was also said that "Time is Money", so you should do only that thing that pays you! Yes, that could be the case, but not today. Job market is dynamic in nature and it can only be understood by studying and researching it on regular basis. The changes happening within the job market are unavoidable, and right now, volunteer should be in your to-do list. The more I research the job market, the more I realize the significance of volunteer work, not just because it helps you gain experience or connections, but also because that it helps you gain different perspective. When you meet new people it helps you understand different POV's and you start to realize that not everyone processes information in the same way. It forces you to think differently, and in some cases it might motivate you to step out of your comfort zone. And Yes, I am finally ready to admit that I made a mistake, I didn't do enough volunteer work. However, the important thing is realization of this mistake, and now I am working on it. I am doing more volunteer work and meeting new people. I am stepping out of my comfort zone, are you ? #breakthecomfortzone #volunteerwork #jobmarket #prespective
