When I look at the kind of technology engineering produces in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and the USA, I continually ask, when will my beloved Nigeria get there? Each of these nations develop technologies to solve every problem they have. Here we are still battling with problems we created since independence. Of course, no one will do it for us except us. The solution must come from within. This is why we are focusing on improving science and engineering education to make it more pragmatic and focused on real world situations. Imagine engineering students initiating and executing projects while studying from 100-500 level which will prepare them to be employable and be able to employ others. Imagine engineering students gaining relevant and competitive skills and experiences while in school. These and more is what we intend achieving. We need your help to achieve these goals. We want to transform science education curriculum in senior secondary schools and engineering education in Polytechnics and Universities to align with our National Goal of productivity.
