The transition to a net zero society is totally dependent on clean energy, and to be perfectly clear - clean electricity. Are we transitioning fast enough? Not yet. We are all maneuvering with a number of uncertainties at the moment, but at the end of the day the energy transition has to happen. You are most welcome to listen to an excerpt from a really energizing discussion around the challenges and opportunities of this topic at the Volvo Group Purchasing Summit 2024 between: Anja van Niersen - CEO of Milence, Jennifer Holmgren - CEO of LanzaTech, Niclas Mårtensson - CEO of Stena Line, Kina Wileke - EVP Group Communication incl. Sustainability of Volvo Group, and Johan Lundén - SVP Project & Product Strategy Office of Volvo Group Trucks Technology. #weareVolvoGroup #VolvoGroupPurchasing #VGPS2024 #Transformation #Netzero #Energytransition
This is the right approach. Without affordable Green Energy and Green hydrogen the way to net Zero will be longer and harder.

3moI completely agree with your point. Clean energy is indeed a crucial component in the transition to a net-zero society. However, it's equally important to focus on delivering the right amount of clean energy, at the right time, and at the right cost. Achieving this will be key to building customer trust and generating genuine market demand. This is exactly why the Tranzero Energy initiative, led by Göteborgs Hamn, AB Volvo, Scania, and Stena Line, in collaboration with Göteborg Energi and Vattenfall et al., aims to explore this very challenge. By connecting the transport system with the energy system, we can 'do something different' and challenge the existing paradigms
