We will be attending the Maritime Hydrogen Conference in Florø on October 15-16, where our CEO, Ronny Haufe, will be participating as part of this panel. The topic is "Hydrogen without handouts" and the debate is about exploring how to set up strong, resilient hydrogen projects. A very interesting Day 1 at #EUHydrogenValleyDays in Brussels, organised by Clean Hydrogen Partnership. We heard 6️⃣ important key messages from Rosalinde van der Vlies, Clean Planet Director at European Commission: 👩🔬 Research & innovation continue to be important in the roll-out of the hydrogen economy to reduce the cost of hydrogen production, to foster circular approaches and to develop skills. 💰 There are several EU instruments to support deployment, including the Innovation Fund, Hydrogen Bank and Connecting Europe Facility. 📃 The non-technological barriers also need to be addressed. The Commission will publish a staff working document later this week with an action plan to address the different barriers hindering the development of the hydrogen economy. 🤝 The Commission wants to collaborate closely with the Member States and regions. 🎯 We also need to bring in the private sector with big investments. 🌍 And finally, we need to go global and collaborate with the rest of the world. The European Commission is strongly committed to supporting Hydrogen Valleys through funding, skills development and improved regulatory framework.

We´ll have an interesting panel about the possible origins of green hydrogen and what challenges we´re still facing today.

It was recently agreed that the air quality impacts of a CCS project at the Bonanza Power Plant, located in Vernal, would be assessed by researchers at the Utah State University centre. This project has been called the Uinta Basin CarbonSAFE project and the aim of it will be to sequester a minimum of fifty million metric tons of captures CO2 from the power plant, along with other sources, throughout the next thirty years. The article below depicts a new study that will be taking place, which will be directly focused on the CCS industry. This project is crucial when it comes to improving the air quality in this area and it is an important step forwards for all the parties involved.
