I'm excited to share my new feature "When Half become Minority" that focus on female in start-up world. The article explores how structural barriers and ingrained biases make it significantly harder for women to secure funding and scale their companies, even when they outperform their male counterparts. I also highlights how the rise of ESG investing is creating new opportunities for female founders. As more women enter the investor field and become the cheque writers, they are helping to level the playing field and direct capital towards impactful solutions led by women. The third part goes to FemTech, a vocabulary that usually misheard as FinTech in Hong Kong. In the realm of health care, the huge gender gap existed and business potential remained untapped. Many brilliant women are digging up the solution to make money with social impact. Maaike Steinebach made a perfect wrap-up: "The most important thing is not to turn this into a cry-baby story......There is upside, there is exit potential in FemTech business."
