The Salmon Spirit. It’s the Salmon spawning season now. I am glad to get a chance to witness this natural spectacle. Statistically, only 30 percent of Atlantic salmon survive to spawn again. Most of them die after spawning and the survival rate is about 5 to 10% which get to return to the ocean where they can recover and spawn again the next season. Even though the chances are not high, the salmon still try their best to do it year after year. Surely there is something we can learn from these salmon. How often do we give up even before trying when we know the chances of winning is low? Just like the salmon swimming upstream and defying the odds, we too can find purpose in the journey, not just the destination. Each hurdle will strengthen us and we grow to be courageous as we strive toward our goals. https://lnkd.in/g7kxgDw9 #salmonspawning #resilience #tenacity Click on the notification bell on my profile for latest post. #AngelaOhyourssincerely

Huh yes. Absolutely 👍. There are some lessons for us to learn. However I wonder whether it’s a different lessons.. Salmon do not know the statistics. Spawning is just their created “instinct” (if they ever have any) to multiply and to cover the oceans. The sore facts of % survival is due to the poor state of fallen nature. So what lessons do we learn instead?

Yes! The journey itself often shapes us in ways the destination alone never could. Like the salmon, pushing through the currents and challenges builds resilience, courage, and a deeper sense of purpose. Every hurdle along the way becomes a part of our growth, teaching us to embrace the struggle as a vital part of achieving our goals. In striving forward, we become stronger, learning to value each step of the journey just as much as reaching the destination. 🐟💫 Insightful share, Angela! Thank you.
