I am a gardener. I love to grow vegetables and flowers. It is part of my heritage. As I care for my garden, I have learned a lot about what Jesus meant when He said my Father is the gardener, what the role of our Heavenly Father is in our lives, and how to live a fulfilled life. Today's blog will present some insights I have gleaned from my own gardening experiences and how they relate to what my Heavenly Father does for me. https://lnkd.in/d9j6sst5

Buddy's Quote Of The Week By Buddy Images by Larry Tyler, Short Stories, Poetry And Photography. I picked this quote because of the hard times that everyone is experiencing. Hard times or as Larry Says A rough patch are always with us and we have to see past them and walk toward the light. Like the garden of life, lets weed the garden, plant new flowers and rejoice in the new flowers and blooms, the Birds songs and the joy of The garden of life. We embrace the night for it is where our dreams exist. We know what lives in the shadows of the trees, and we fly without fear through the forest. Do not fear the night for we are the guardians of your dreams., dreams that awaken you at 3 am and whisper to you to write your story. Quote for the week: Why do farmers farm, given their economic adversities on top of the many frustrations and difficulties normal to farming? And always the answer is: "Love. They must do it for love." Farmers farm for the love of farming. They love to watch and nurture the growth of plants. They love to live in the presence of animals. They love to work outdoors. They love the weather, maybe even when it is making them miserable. They love to live where they work and to work where they live. If the scale of their farming is small enough, they like to work in the company of their children and with the help of their children. They love the measure of independence that farm life can still provide. I have an idea that a lot of farmers have gone to a lot of trouble merely to be self-employed to live at least a part of their lives without a boss.” ― Wendell Berry, #farm #farmlife #love #farmers #dreams #folklore #writers #writingcommunity #garden #gardening

Silly question perhaps but what is the current figure for the amount of wildflower rich haymeadows lost since 1960 or 1970? Or name a date. UK or just England. It seems to be roughly the same figure we quote for this since 1985 - can that be true? Are we replacing more slowly than losing? Or are we replacing at a different rate? Where's the evidence to be found? Or do we just use the traditional old figure? Plantlife International National Trust
