The presence of two hotels belonging to the same group within close proximity or even in the same building may raise questions for some individuals. However, this strategic decision serves the purpose of catering to distinct market segments. For instance, at the Glasgow SEC (Scottish Event Campus), both the Courtyard and Moxy hotels, both of which fall under the Marriott brand, coexist. The Courtyard hotel targets budget-conscious business travelers, while the Moxy hotel is designed to appeal to a younger demographic. This dual presence enables hotel chains to effectively address the varied needs of travelers while optimizing the utilization of shared resources, including staff, materials, and facilities.

Fantastic article provides an insightful analysis of the current state of hotel brands. In recent years, there has been an unprecedented frequency of hotel owners switching brands. Management companies appear indifferent as long as new hotels are being established within the same city, district, or even on the same road. A management with over 20 hotel brands under a single umbrella, it has become increasingly difficult to distinguish between them. #hospitalityfuture #reinventhotels #whatsnext https://lnkd.in/g83RhNih
