Hey LinkedIn Network, It has been a while since the team at Digital Cannoli Games has posted. We have grown in a size by quite a bit and are focused on overhauling our last prototype build so that we can move forward to a pre alpha. We’ll need additional help to get us there. DCG is currently a volunteer studio as we have only kept to working with people that we know and have worked with in the past at other studios and from school (mainly Full Sail University and Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts)). However, we plan to change that. Stay tuned if you would like to work on our project or hear more about us. For the meanwhile, here is a schedule of posts coming in the next few months. Gameplay Footage: We originally only put out the first two levels of our latest prototype build. We will showcase the six different levels from the last build. The Chad Early Build Videos: Over the next few weeks, we will take you on a journey of the different early prototype builds from The Chad and showcase how the project changed over time. Looking for Help: As described, the team is looking for additional help outside our direct personal networks. There are many areas that we could use help in. A few of those roles are environment concept artist, 3D environment artist, marketing manager, community manager, technical animator (UE Locomotion Scripting), tech artist (VFX), and tech designer. We also need someone to help us in redesigning our logo! Feel free to reach out if you have the skills and would like to work with us. (Edit: NVM I think we found someone?) GAH! We urgently need a 💻👩💻Unity Engineer for our game jam team! One of our devs was suddenly hospitalized and sadly had to drop out. 🙅♀️ 🚫 💰 UNPAID. We're all volunteers doing this for fun and because it's a good cause. 🌎 💚 Deets for the jam: https://lnkd.in/eNd5vcad We have almost all of our game systems built and are looking for help banging out the implementation of our game logic, so people who are relatively new to Unity or even game dev generally would be a good fit. Our current lead Unity engineer is available to pair / train someone as they get started and ramp up on our setup. Below are some screenshots representing various things we've gotten done.
