The Indian government has approved the establishment of a National Center of Excellence for Animation and Visual Effects, marking a significant step toward boosting the country's growing visual effects industry. In a video interaction with Rwit Ghosh of NDTV Profit, Sameer Jain, Managing Director Primus Partners, highlights the role of public-private partnerships in establishing National Centers of Excellence (NCoE). While working on Mumbai Gullies I have come to learn so many new things related to the game development pipeline. Making a game of such a scale involves a lot of processes. One such process that is highly glamorised is motion capture. Getting raw animation data and making realistic movements from that data. India's Largest AVGC-XR Association Uniting Animation, Gaming, and Visual Effects Community Launched in Mumbai! The Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGCR) industry has finally established its long-awaited association in Mumbai, the hub of glamour and cinema. The association, named MIDCCA (Maharashtra Immersive Digital Content Creators Association), is a groundbreaking initiative designed to unite and address the challenges faced by Indian content creators, gaming enthusiasts, animation and VFX professionals, immersive media experts, and studios. It aims to represent India’s vibrant AVGC industry on a global stage. Set to become the largest AVGC community, MIDCCA will enhance recent government efforts to promote the AVGC sector and establish a National Centre of Excellence (NCoE).
