The world’s probably 2 largest B2B automotive trade shows (AMF and IAA) are being organised on consecutive weeks. Giving a real headache to some companies as to where to exhibit and for others which one to visit. To be at both is a costly excerise. We’re in a fortunate (geographical) position to be relatively close to both locations and therefore we can drive to both shows easily to wlk them. But it’s not the case for many people across Europe who have to make a choice between the two whilst it’d make business sense for them to be at both. Is this a smart schedule from Hannover and Frankfurt? Is this a sustainable schedule? Could these shows be combined / share the same location? Not sure. The good news is: zsofia pioker will be at IAA for two days. If you’re there too, let’s meet! #automechanika2024 #IAAtransportation

The automotive industry is currently facing unprecedented changes not seen in a century. Auto parts companies should adapt to global political and economic changes, and the demand for technological advancements, by planning for the transformation and upgrading of their enterprises. At the same time, auto parts companies should also implement a series of management changes to support their successful transformation. In recent years, new energy vehicles have seen rapid development globally, with especially swift progress in China. T car factory, representing new forces, advocates for the "3C" approach in automotive development, focusing on low cost and fast response, which has become one of the trends in the auto parts industry. The global auto parts supply system is expected to be reshaped. The demand for automotive intelligence is increasing. Due to the automotive market's requirements for high-tech applications, cars will increasingly lean towards intelligent applications such as car networking, front-end entertainment modules, and intelligent driving. These intelligent features will impose higher technical requirements on parts and components manufacturers. The lightweighting of parts and components is also on the rise. Due to ongoing concerns about environmental issues, the parts industry will focus on reducing car body weight through the modular application of new materials. Lightweight, clean, and environmentally friendly technology will become the future direction of industrial development. The industry chain's direction will diversify. The components industry chain will lengthen, starting from more subdivided first-class components and gradually focusing on body parts, doors, seats, audio systems, and other local areas. A comprehensive supplier resource model must be developed to adapt to future market development trends. #Lightweight #LightweightAsia2024 #automotivemarket To learn more about the market trends, stay tuned to Lightweight Asia 2024 Date: 03-05 July 2024 Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Center Learn more:https://lnkd.in/gid2RGSb

This is cool. Auto Trader UK will be sharing brand new research into UK car buyer attitudes towards Chinese brands at this event. We all know about products, batteries, scale, speed, ambitions, but nobody’s yet thought to ask buyers what they think. It’s an untold story and super-important. Three big questions we’ll get into: 1. Does the country of origin (production and brand name) matter? 2. What do UK car buyers think of Chinese car brands and their products? 3. What do Chinese car brands need to know to succeed (and what do the rest need to know to combat)? The early results are ace. Revealing.
What impact will Chinese brands have on your business and opportunity do they represent? Find out on the 11th of December at the NFDA | National Franchised Dealers Association's second annual Driving Automotive event in London, which will explore the growing array of new entrant brands and the impact they will have on retail. Packed with expert speakers from across the Chinese and UK retailing landscape, the event will provide retailers with exclusive insights into the opportunity they represent, how to build lasting and profitable partnerships, and what their arrival means for the current landscape. It will also be an opportunity to meet, and hear first hand from a range of new Chinese brands, including XPENG, Leapmotor, Changan Automobile, Skywell UK, Farizon Auto, and BYD UK on their UK plans, and their retailer partnership ambitions. They'll also have a range of cars on display to interact with. In today's automotive manufacturing industry, lightweighting has become a key goal. Lightweighting helps improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance vehicle performance. Carbon fiber composites, as a lightweight material, are gradually becoming one of the primary choices in the automotive manufacturing industry, especially in the application of car hoods. Traditional car hoods are typically made of steel, which is relatively heavy and adversely affects fuel efficiency. In contrast, carbon fiber composites offer outstanding strength and lightweight properties, making them a superior choice. By manufacturing hoods with carbon fiber composites, automakers can significantly reduce the overall weight of vehicles, thereby improving fuel economy. Moreover, carbon fiber composites exhibit excellent corrosion resistance and fatigue performance, making car hoods more durable and able to maintain good condition for longer periods. This means that vehicle owners can perform less maintenance and replacements, thus saving on repair costs. However, the manufacturing cost of carbon fiber composites is relatively high, which may affect the final car price. Nevertheless, as technology continues to advance, the cost of producing carbon fiber composites has been gradually decreasing, enabling more car manufacturers to incorporate this advanced material into their models. #Lightweight #LightweightAsia2024 #fuelefficiency To learn more about the market trends, stay tuned to Lightweight Asia 2024 Date: 03-05 July 2024 Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Center Learn more:https://lnkd.in/gid2RGSb

Last week, the Tokyo Big Sight was the venue for Automotive World Japan. Like everywhere else in the world, automotive manufacturers in Japan are focusing on the defossilization and digitalization of the mobility sector. Around 80,000 visitors and 1,800 exhibitors used the industry meeting point to gather information and to discuss with each other. Our experts presented the latest innovations in the field of electric drives and software development. Our President and CEO, Patrick Hupperich used the opportunity to exchange ideas with representatives of Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers as well as OEMs and start-ups.
Automotive World has opened today! Our colleagues in Japan are looking forward to welcoming you at booth E59-41. We wish them the best of success. #FEV, #AutomotiveWorld2025

Reports from the SMMT International Automotive Summit in London! 💫 At the SMMT International Automotive Summit, Neil Davies, our Head of Business Development didn’t have a dull moment. One that stood out? An informative interview by BBC’s Justin Webb with Michael Leiters, McLaren Automotive Ltd’s #CEO. Neil returned with a clear understanding of the challenges and goals related to the current developments within the automotive sector in relation to the transition to green technologies. Many thoughts on what will be happening in this area in the future; especially regarding new #automotive technologies and related #qualityassurance. The message from Michael Leiters was clear that the U.K. is currently not ready for the transition to EV Making the U.K. more competitive would help to deliver a clear advantage to secure this transition - this can be supported by delivering a competitive advantage through reducing the cost of quality and delivering improved manufacturing processes. Such discussions are very much aligned to what we do at TheyeQ concerning TheEye System. Our AI-based system enables us to carry out real-time non-invasive inspections, helping lower costs associated with quality problems while increasing output effectiveness. We are all about assisting manufacturers such as McLaren and their supply chain to realise zero defects and thereby improving competitiveness Keep an eye out for further updates as we aim to stretch the limits of quality control and help to improve process effectiveness. #InternationalAutomotiveSummit #AutomotiveIndustry #McLaren #Innovation #QualityAssurance #DigitalTransformation #TheyeQ
