🌍 Reflecting on the LMH Summer Programmes at Oxford 🌍 This summer, I studied at Lady Margaret Hall, focusing on the complex political, economic, and social dimensions of climate change—one of the most critical issues facing our world today. The teaching at Oxford was exceptional, with standout lectures from Katherine Sugar, Sam Hampton, Sumedha Basu, and others. Their diverse perspectives and commitment to student engagement made each session insightful and inclusive, enriching the learning experience. The course covered key topics such as environmental sustainability, the legal and economic shifts needed for a low-carbon future, and the global politics shaping climate action. One of the most important themes was the "just transition," ensuring that those least responsible for emissions aren't the ones who bear the brunt of climate impacts. My work consisted of essays centred on pivotal issues like Net Zero, the governance of environmental change, and the tension between justice and speed in the transition, with a special focus on the aviation industry. Feel free to reach out if these topics interest you—I’d be glad to share my work. This experience has deepened my understanding and commitment to working towards a sustainable and equitable future. #ClimateChange #Sustainability #PPE #Oxford #JustTransition #NetZero #EnvironmentalPolicy
It is difficult to express how nice it is for early career academics to hear such encouraging words from their students. Always a pleasure.❤️❤️❤️❤️
