Quickest way to tell if an employee is engaged? Engaged employees say "we," says this expert Fast Company. Overall, the words your teams use when talking about their organization or their coworkers are a big clue into employee engagement. When employees say "they," when referring to their own organization, this is a clear indication that they don’t see themselves as valued members of your organization’s team. https://ow.ly/wVQ430sFAic

New studies show increased correlation between employee engagement and turnover risk. This is bad news for employers with employee engagement in the U.S. dropping to its lowest level since 2013 with only 30% of employees saying they are highly engaged. Worse yet, turnover risk is just as high among “somewhat” engaged employees as it is among those who are fully disengaged; only those who report being highly engaged are likely to say they won’t be leaving their current job. https://lnkd.in/gR_h8srm #Engagement #HumanResources #Brightmine

A fresh take on #EmployeeEngagement from Valentina Gissin and Cara Brennan Allamano. I recommend this read not just for HR leaders but for P&L owners. Employee engagement directly impacts the bottom line. I particularly appreciated: 🔸 Valentina's definition of employee engagement--the discretionary effort employees are gladly willing to give to the company 🔸 The explanation of the recent power shift from employees to employers, and how that's reduced employees' job clarity resulting in lower engagement. 🔸 That #retention is now the name of the game. Efforts should go to retaining top employees and increasing their engagement. 🔸 There's very little that’s more important than #crafting jobs well. We must match the job to the person and vice versa. https://lnkd.in/gV_D8TX3
