🌍 Advancing Sustainable Public Transportation: Modeling Bus Door Systems at TU Delft 🚍 In public transportation, bus doors face a variety of mechanical stresses, from daily operational demands to more extreme scenarios like heavy objects impacting the door. As cities push towards sustainable and efficient transport systems, it is critical to optimize these components to ensure both safety and durability while minimizing environmental impact. During my 3-month internship at Delft University of Technology, in collaboration with Ventura Bus Lines, I worked on numerical modeling to simulate these real-world conditions, using advanced methods such as solving partial differential equations (like the biharmonic equation). This research is essential as the transportation industry moves toward lighter, more energy-efficient vehicles. The results of this work will contribute to future innovations in public transport systems, where every component must balance strength and weight for better performance. Exciting times ahead for sustainable engineering! 🌱🚍 A big thank you to Dr. domenico lahaye for his guidance and support throughout this project. His expertise was invaluable to the progress made during this internship! #TUdelft #Engineering #PublicTransport #Sustainability #NumericalModeling #Ventura If you want to take a look at my work: https://lnkd.in/eTTPDYNG

🎓✨ End of Research Engineering Internship - An Unforgettable Experience! ✨🎓 I am thrilled to share with you the conclusion of my 4th-year engineering school internship as a research engineer at Université Gustave Eiffel. These past 6 months in the Navier laboratory have been extremely enriching both technically and personally. 👨🔬 Ever since I was a child, I wanted to explore the world of research, which sparked my passion for science. The goal was to enhance the hygrothermal and mechanical performance of hemp wool insulators and better understand their overall behavior. At the Navier Laboratory, the focus is on studying the hygrothermal behavior of these materials, which is essential to demonstrate their effectiveness as insulators and humidity regulators. In this context, I conducted measurements of thermal conductivity, sorption capacity, water diffusion coefficient, and tensile and compressive strength, varying the porosity, fiber size, fiber orientation, and sample composition. The synthesis and analysis of the results allowed us to identify the most influential parameters in the formulation and determine the "best composition." My aim was also to better understand the structure of hemp wool and its role in the mechanical and hygrothermal properties of the material. 🌟 Beyond the technical aspect, this internship has been marked by exceptional encounters. The laboratory members created a stimulating and supportive work environment. Thanks to them, I was able to grow in a setting where mutual assistance, knowledge sharing, and a passion for research were the guiding principles. Strong bonds were formed, making this experience all the more memorable. ⚙ I am extremely happy to have discovered this field, and now I am ready to explore careers more directly related to industry, such as management or technical sales. I am eagerly preparing for my next internship from February to July 2025. 🙏 A big thank you to the Université de Technologie de Troyes and Philippe COUSSOT that made this internship possible and enriching. I look forward to applying everything I have learned and continuing my professional path with enthusiasm and determination! #ResearchEngineer #Internship #Hygrothermal #Materials #Research #Innovation #Team #Passion #NewChallenges

The Centre of Excellence in Propulsion Systems at Alliance University conducted a one-month internship on Ducted Rocket Propulsion. The internship was attended by students from MIT ADT University and Alliance University, providing them with hands-on experience in the field. They engaged in activities such as preparing and processing solid fuel grains, conducting testing procedures, and analysing propulsion performance, led by Dr. Syed Alay Hashim, Director of the Centre of Excellence in Propulsion Systems at Alliance University. Interns gained a practical understanding of propulsion engineering and applied theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. They also presented their research at international conferences and contributed to published papers. Launching into the engineering world, I realized early on that the challenges we face today require not just technical skills but a sharp eye for safety and efficiency. Through my internships at Aeronautical Research Center and Giad Industrial Group, I delved deep into the practical side of engineering - from design to documentation, fabrication to troubleshooting. The transition from academic knowledge to real-world application was a journey of growth, resilience, and critical thinking. It highlighted the importance of collaborative workspaces where ideas can flourish and solutions emerge through collective expertise.

I am happy to share that I have successfully completed an APR.Intern project titled "Contributing to Green Shipping Through Coastal Ocean Modelling’ with Tidetech. Here's a brief summary of the project: "The imperative for green shipping, driven by environmental concerns, requires innovative approaches to optimize maritime transportation. This project explores the critical role of coastal ocean modelling in promoting sustainable shipping practices, particularly by providing accurate tidal information. Accurate tidal data not only minimizes waiting times for vessels entering and exiting major shipping ports, but also reduces fuel consumption, lowers CO2 emissions, and improves overall efficiency. The study assesses whether a hydrodynamic model-based solution can provide accurate tidal predictions compared to observations and official tidal predictions." This internship provided me with hands-on experience tackling real-world challenges, specifically through applying high-resolution coastal ocean modelling to promote green shipping. I am grateful to APR.Intern, Tidetech, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Melbourne, Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute for this opportunity. Additionally, I enjoyed working with the team—Christelle Auguste, Roger Proctor, Sebastien Mancini, and Alexander Babanin—and I am thankful for their support throughout the project. #GreenShipping #HydrodynamicModelling #TidalPrediction #TidalStudies #CoastalModelling #IrishSea

Applink : https://lnkd.in/eXVvhRt9 GitHub : https://lnkd.in/gmtgjjmR ✨ Excited to Share! ✨ I am thrilled to announce the successful completion of my Summer internship project titled "Digital Twin of a Ship Hull for Illustrating Biofouling Dynamics." 🚢 Throughout this project, I developed a detailed 3D representation of a ship's hull to study and visualize biofouling dynamics, leveraging advanced digital twin technology. This initiative is set to revolutionize marine engineering practices by enabling predictive maintenance and significantly reducing downtime for repairs and maintenance at ports. Key Highlights: 📌 Mesh Hierarchy and Properties: The web application provides an interactive mesh hierarchy of the ship model, enabling users to explore various sections of the ship. Each mesh's properties, including material and geometry data, are accessible and can be modified by the user. 📌 Scene Configuration: Users have control over the scene's properties, such as lighting and camera settings, allowing for customizable visualization experiences. 📌 Hotspot Data Integration: A server setup updates resistance and temperature values for designated hotspots on the ship every 10 seconds. Initially sourced from a CSV file, this data will be replaced with real-time sensor data in the future. 📌 Corrosion Progression Display: A timeline control feature automatically updates the texture on the mesh every 10 seconds, cycling through a set of 10 different images to simulate progressive corrosion. This allows users to see the progression of biofouling over time, providing a dynamic and educational experience. 🌟 Wrapping up a 2-month internship at Cemosis (Center for Modeling and Simulation in Strasbourg), hosted by IRMA (Institut de Recherche Mathématique Avancée) at Strasbourg University! 🌟 Hello everyone, I'm happy to share my experience working on the Exa-MA WP1 Vegetation Project as part of the larger HiDALGO2 Project and Programme de recherche NumPEx research initiative. My focus was on integrating vegetation, particularly trees, into 3D urban models to enhance the accuracy and realism of energy and thermal simulations. Throughout this internship, I had the opportunity to: Extract and process tree data from OpenStreetMap. Generate and integrate 3D tree models using cutting-edge tools like CGAL and Gmsh. Optimize algorithms for handling large datasets, ensuring efficiency and performance. A special thanks to my advisors, Vincent Chabannes, Pierre Alliez, and Christophe Prudhomme, for their guidance and support.
