You can’t microwave a turkey… right? 🦃 A few years ago, our friends at Rand Simulation asked that very question and used Ansys HFSS to design a handheld microwave emitter to “cook” a Thanksgiving turkey—virtually, of course! The outcome? A slightly crispy 500-degree bird (not quite dinner-ready) and a valuable lesson in simulated science. Curious to see the science behind the experiment? Now it would be great to do a CFD simulation of the turkey in the oven to maximize the temperature flow and then do a benchmark to compare vs the microwave technic. Let's not forgot to do a final physical validation... Happy thanksgiving all !

How about doing a CFD simulation on a turkey in the oven to see how the heat spreads and then compare it to the microwave method? And of course, a real test to finish it off! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
