Last week, we launched HUL’s Foster and Kinship Caregiver Leave Policy- our latest effort to build an inclusive and equitable workplace. We are extending our care philosophy to cater to diverse familial arrangements. This industry-first program recognizes the importance of supporting all family structures. Employees fostering a child or acting as a legal guardian can now access 4 weeks of leave – available to caregivers of all genders. This, combined with our existing 20+ equitable policies, empowers employees to manage personal and professional commitments with flexibility and takes us one step closer to building a more equitable and supportive workplace for all. I truly believe that a lot of inequity in the workplace is driven by imbalances in care giving responsibilities. It so great Anuradha Razdan to see HUL take the lead in extending this to diverse family arrangements as well.

Brilliant to see this recognition of the huge value of kinship care and foster care, which are fundamental to freeing children from the injustice and harm of institutional care.

I am an ex HUL employee and I am always proud of that because the work culture and take care of employees mental well being is excellent

https://www.goodreturns.in/news/layoffs-hul-parent-plans-to-spin-off-8-billion-ice-cream-biz-7-500-people-may-lose-their-jobs-1337349.html HR fraternity should realise that instead of executing these unnecessary and costly shenanigans, they should start focusing on saving jobs in there own company. Layoffs have become companies’s core annual policy and the reason for that can be attributed to these ‘woke’ policies which are only meant for PR consumption as I believe that having a job is much more important than 4 day week, foster care, sex change operation et al.

Such a great initiative for promotion of home based case care, alternative to institutional care that is long demand in the sector. It's a superb cue for fellow corporates to resonate with. This serves two quick goals ;one diverse familial arrangement in pursuit of inclusive policy and two; setting tone for companies for deinstitutionalisaion of children, one of the key principles of #uncrc

This initiative not only provides practical support but also sends a powerful message about the company's values and commitment to equity. Excellent initiative
