🌱📊 Vivent Biosignals is thrilled to have collaborated with Syngenta on a groundbreaking study investigating the infestation of tomato plants by the plant-parasitic root- knot nematode, M. incognita. This research used plant electrophysiology (PE) to accurately detect nematode-induced stress, showcasing a revolutionary approach to real-time monitoring of plant health in the presence of soil pests. Our machine learning model not only identified stress intensities and the time course of plant damage but also captured the real-time effectiveness of nematicides. I’m very happy to share my latest article, “Exploring eco-friendly solutions for Phytophthora disease management: Harnessing the anti-oomycete Potential of a fermented lemon waste formulation”, now published in the Journal lf Agriculture and Food Research (Elsevier). Our study reveals how 'bioact-LM,' a formulation from fermented lemon waste, effectively contrasts Phytophthora species. [In the field with Javier G and Eduardo Ortiz Rodriguez] In Mexico, our local team organized a carrot day last month with Indufresh, a distributor. 🥕 Why did we do it? Because we wanted to show two of our varieties, which have great potential in this market. Which varieties? First, Musico, a carrot from Nantes. But also Orchestro, a variety currently being tested. How did we do it?
