Some housekeepers believe that emptying air freshener containers into a room is enough to make the room smell nice. However, they often forget that a clean room requires proper attention to certain items and places, such as curtains with cigarette smoke, duvets with food stains, bed sheets that were not properly dried, pillows that have absorbed too much sweat, leftover food under the bed and on top of shelves, urine stuck in the toilet drainage, used menstrual pads that might be flushed down the toilet, and vomited food that can hang around the wash hand basin. If these places are not properly attended to, the real odour will eventually come out once the air freshener wears off, and the customer will be disappointed. As someone with extensive experience in operation management, I have trained all of my supervisors to ensure that no housekeeper uses air fresheners before inspecting their rooms. Even if you use ten containers of air fresheners, I will still be able to detect the bad odour; however, we have different levels of experience and nature.
