ICHRAs, or Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements, are relatively new to the market, so even many HR pros may be unfamiliar with what they are and why they are gaining interest. For both small and large employers alike, #ICHRAs offer an alternative to employee group insurance benefits, especially for specific segments of employer populations that lack eligibility to group plans – like gig workers. Join Aon host, Kevin Fyock, in this episode of “The Stretch” where we unpack ICHRAs and where they may fit into an employer’s strategy with Andrew R., SVP & General Manager at Gravie. https://lnkd.in/ebzhBjXp #ICHRA #HealthReimbursement #HR #HRLeaders #TheStretch #employeegroupinsurance

What is your first thought when you see this graph measuring the per employee per year cost for 4 employers over 3 years? Be honest... 😅 "That's too good to be true. It can't be real." "I bet the coverage sucks though. You probably increased out of pocket exposure for employees." "That might work for those employers, but my population is different." 🔊 Here's the truth: - Real savings happen when you focus on the cost of claims instead of just the premium. 💲 - Every plan was enhanced with significantly better coverage than before including $0 deductibles, lowered out of pocket max, no cost imaging, no cost outpatient surgeries, etc. 😁 - Your population is not different or special when it comes to Health Insurance. Every population is going to have claims, whether they are "high" or "low" or "bad" matters less than what the plan is paying for them. ✅ ❓ What is your per employee per year (PEPY) cost trend over the last 3 years? When was the last time your HR team was able to share good news with your employees? Signing off on another increase, raising deductibles, or deducting just a little bit more out of your employee's paychecks is doing more harm than you think. You may think...we offer great benefits...these statistics don't apply to my employees. However, it's an unfortunate reality. The good news is that the solutions are out there. 1) Optimize how you fund your health insurance premiums 2) Customize your vendor stack to control claims 3) Connect with community providers to access high quality care HR teams at some of the companies we work can share good news for a change. They get to use terms like, "lower deductible, free, no out-of-pocket costs." #healthcareNOTsickcare #healthinsurance #healthcare
